JohnDow: TPMS Service Kits and Tools
Every new vehicle, (passenger cars, light trucks and buses) sold in the U.S. must be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, beginning with the 2008 model year. TPMS alerts drivers when the pressure in a tire falls more than 25% below the manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure.
To ensure the Tire Pressure Monitoring System is working properly it is recommended by all OEM’s that the rubber grommet, valve core, valve cap and sensor nut be replaced every time the TPMS sensor is removed from the wheel or the wheel is serviced.
TPMS Service Kits include everything you need to properly service TPMS equipped tires and rims. Service Kits are tailored to specific vehicle makes, models and years. Service kits include sealing components such as caps, cores, grommets and nuts.
