Barberton, Ohio – Robert Christy, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at JohnDow has announced the appointment of David M. Riggs to the position of Product Category Manager. Riggs will be primarily responsible for all aspects of product development, planning and execution. Other areas of concentration include market research and strategy, competitive product analysis, vendor relationships, pricing and sales support.
Christy stated that “the main objective of this position is to effectively execute product management functions to meet corporate goals for customer service, growth and profitability for all divisions of JohnDow. We selected David for this critical position because of his talent and wealth of applicable experience. We are excited to have him on the JDI team”.
The Product Category Management position will concentrate on product management; the identification and development of new products; category management; sales and marketing support; and customer related product support.
Riggs comes to JohnDow from his most recent position of Manager of Product and Category Management with Dayco Products in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At Dayco he directed his team to ensure that all product lines were current and complete, releasing new product lines as needed to satisfy customer and market demands while improving opportunities for added sales volume.
Prior to that Riggs held various management positions at Dayco for over fifteen years. He has a Bachelor of Science, General Business degree with a minor in Management Information Systems from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
